NFL Week 10 Picks
November 10th, 2006
OK, I’m moving this weekend so this will be very brief…
Sunday 1:00
Browns @ Atlanta(-8)
The Falcons were bad last time, right? So then they’ll cover this.
Redskins @ Philly(-7)
I can’t figure out the Iggles this year, and that seems like too much for a team I can’t figure out. Redskins.
Chargers @ Cincinnati(+1)
Only one? Sure, give it, Bols.
Niners @ Detroit(-6)
Man, sucker bet. I won’t do it, though, I’m taking the Niners to keep it closer than that.
Ravens @ Tennessee(+7)
IIRC, which is risky, the Titans haven’t played well against the Ravens lately, so I’ll give the TD.
Bills @ Indy(-12)
Too obvious, take the points.
Texans @ Jax(-10.5)
Gerrard is starting and the Jags want revenge–they’ll cover this.
Chefs @ Miami(+1)
Again, only one? I’ll take KC, thanks.
Packers @ Minnesota(-5.5)
That seems like the right number. Vikings.
Jest @ New England(-10.5)
I like the Pats to win this game but that’s enough points to make me worry. Meh, I have enough to worry about, I’m taking New England.
Sunday ~4:10
Broncos @ Oakland(+9)
The Raiders reverted back to true form last week, so I have Denver here.
Cowboys @ Arizona(+7)
Whatever I do with the Cowboys, it’s wrong, so I will pick them in an attempt to jinx them. Except that I don’t believe in things like that. Whatever, Cowboys.
Saints @ Pittsburgh(-4.5)
OK, how on earth are the Steelers favored here? The Steelers are horrible. Gimme the points!
Rams @ Seattle(-3.5)
Piling it on Oakland doesn’t mean the Seabags are that good. Rams.
Sunday NBC
Bears @ New Jersey Giants, even
Probably even since half the Giants are hurt. If Plax is out they have only the Tiki god to catch the ball, but he’s got rushing duties to cover as well. I like the Bears here.
MNF
Bucs @ Carolina(-9.5)
Uhh, have the Panthers blown out anybody this year? No, so that’s too many points, I’ll take ‘em.

congrats on the move. Post some pics of the new house!

Sunday 1:00
Browns @ Atlanta(-8)
The Browns are bad and the Falcons must rebound from a terrible loss last week. Give the points in a game the Falcons must perform in.
Redskins @ Philly(-7)
The Redskins are now resurgent! I guess it’s too many points? I’ll take the Skins and the points.
Chargers @ Cincinnati(+1)
I suppose this is a chance for Cincinnati to turn it around? I’ll take the Bengals.
Niners @ Detroit(-6)
I don’t get what happened last week. I’m taking Detroit and giving the points.
Ravens @ Tennessee(+7)
IIRC, which is risky, the Titans haven’t played well against the Ravens lately, so I’ll give the TD.
Bills @ Indy(-12)
I’ll give the points. I think the Bills players are starting to find ways get out of their contracts.
Texans @ Jax(-10.5)
Texans beat them once already in a blowout. I don’t think that will happen again, but hey, I gotta take the points.
Chefs @ Miami(+1)
I won’t be fooled by that Chicago game. Miami is terrible. I’ll take the Chiefs and give the point. Oh, keep Huard starting as long as they continue to win.
Packers @ Minnesota(-5.5)
I get the sense that thease are two teams trying to find their way. I think it’s a toss up, so I’ll take the Packers and the points.
Jest @ New England(-10.5)
I’ll gladly take the points. NE is really banged up.
Sunday ~4:10
Broncos @ Oakland(+9)
Oakland got it’s win. No other team wants to be next. I’ll give the points.
Cowboys @ Arizona(+7)
The Cowboys need this game to keep pace. That’s a pretty big number, but I think they’ll cover it since they have hardly any injuries.
Saints @ Pittsburgh(-4.5)
That is very strange, but I think the general feeling is that the Steelers are better than their record. They’ve had a lot of turnovers lately that should be correctible. Plus their at home. I’m going to take the Steelers – but this is the last time if they lose and look bad doing it !
Rams @ Seattle(-3.5)
Too many points. If Seattle wins it will be by a field goal. Ok, too many half points. Whatever.
I need Bulger to do well ’cause I’m starting him this week!
Sunday NBC
Bears @ New Jersey Giants, even
Were the Bears exposed last week? Will the Giants miss Strahan? So many questions. I’ll take the Giants at home.
MNF
Bucs @ Carolina(-9.5)
Carolina won’t handle Tampa that easily. I’ll take the points.

Oops, missed the Ravens pick!
Ravens will handle the Titans easily. Last week was an aberration.
