1/2, Cotton: Mississippi vs. Texas Tech(-4.5)
Tech is looking to silence critics and pollsters. They'll run up the score.

1/2, Liberty: Kentucky vs. East Carolina(-3)
The Kentucky QB is their best player and he's out, or at least really gimpy. Give the points.

1/2, Sugar: Utah vs. Alabama(-9.5)
Alabama is another team that wants to stick it to pollsters, even though Florida kicked their asses. C'mon, it's Utah. They have no shot against a big-time defense like Alabama's. Give the points.

1/3, International: Buffalo vs. Connecticut(-5.5)
Buffalo just won their big game. This is totally anti-climactic. UConn has a good running game and Buffalo won't be able to hang. I'll give the points.

1/5, Fiesta: Ohio State vs. Texas(-8.5)
I honestly don't know if Ohio State is any good. I guess I like getting the points. Texas, I think, believes they're better than they really are. Plus, their sphincters are tight because if they win this one big, and the Sooners just barely win, they might get the nod. Ohio State should be nice and loose.

1/6, GMAC: Tulsa vs. Ball State(-1.5)
Ball State was one of the last teams to be undefeated. I'll give the points, no problem. Why are these teams playing in such a late bowl game? I think I ask this question every year...

1/8, BCS Title Game: Oklahoma vs. Florida(-3)
Gotta go with the Gators. They're steamrolling everyone these days.

Ohh, I see Al's picks for New Year's Day came in email, so those are here:

Iowa vs. South Carolina +3.5
I don't know much about Iowa, but I know that South Carolina is plain awful. Not sure how they won 6 games... Anyhow, I'll give the points.

Clemson vs. Nebraska +2.5
Clemson is another team I've seen stink it up this year. Have they won since they fired Bowden? I dunno. Regardless, I'm giving the points here too.

Michigan State vs. Georgia -8
Georgia still has some serious talent, they just haven't put it together this year. I think with this amount of preparation, they'll be fine in this game and will run up the score. Give the points.

Penn State vs. USC -9.5
USC just has way too much talent for Penn State. I hear a lot of talking heads saying that Penn State has a chance in this game, but I think it's just to ensure viewers. Rout. Give the points.

Virginia Tech vs. Cincinnati -2
Virginia Tech has much more big bowl experience and Beamer knows what it will take to win. Cincinnati will get blindsided in this one. I'll take the points.
