NFL Week 14

Been sick so I have to make this quick…

Sunday, 1:00
Falcons @ Carolina(+7.5)
Atlanta has it rolling right now, and the Panthers just don’t. Give the points

Bungles @ Pittsburgh(-8.5)
Cinci stinks, but the Steelers have not been blowing people out. But Cinci is awful enough to get killed here, so I’ll take the home team.

Packers @ Detroit(+7)
I certainly like the way Green Bay has been playing lately, and the Lions, while valiant, just aren’t that good. Packers.

Raiders @ Jacksonville(-3.5)
I like the Jags at home. I dislike that half point, though, wish it was just -3, but I’ll stick with the Jaguars.

Buccaneers @ Washington(+1)
Tampa is just way better, give that point.

Browns @ Buffalo, even
Wow… the Bills have been great against the spread, but there are no points for them this time! I like them to finally take one home, since I believe Delhomme is again starting… fools.

Sunday, ~4:10
Rams @ New Orleans(-9)
Too many points. I expect the Saints to win, but I like St. Louis to keep it closer than that.

Seahawks @ San Francisco(-5)
What? That seems weird. I’ll take the points.

Patriots @ Chicago(+3)
Uhh, did you see that game on Monday? I don’t think the Pats are to be denied, though of course this is a road game. But if anyone can fool Cutler into returning to the old Cutler, it’s the Pats.

Dolphins @ New Jersey Jets(-5)
Give the points. I don’t see the Jets dropping two in a row, and they need a home game.

Broncos @ Arizona(+4)
OK, so far this season firing the head coach has actually worked, so I’m taking Denver.

Chiefs @ San Diego(-9.5)
I think the Chargers manage to pull this out at home, but that’s too many points.

Eagles @ Dallas(+4)
Sure, give the points. I know the Cowboys have been rejuvenated, but gotta like Vick here.

SNF
Giants @ Minnesota(+3)
The Vikings have been on a tear lately, but I think the Giants are up to it.

MNF
Ravens @ Houston(+3)
The Texans need more than a field goal here. Ed Reed should be good for at least one pick six.

  1. Hope you feel better!

    Sunday, 1:00
    Falcons @ Carolina(+7.5)
The Falcons don’t blow teams out. Unless there’s a late pick-6 or something, this will be under a touchdown. Panthers plus points.

    Bungles @ Pittsburgh(-8.5)
The Bengals are terrible, but once again, this spread is too much against another team not good enough to blow teams out. I’ll take the big number and Cincinnatti.

    Packers @ Detroit(+7)
Breather alert for the Packers. They’ll be looking towards the Patriots next week. I’ll take the scrappy Lions and the points.

    Raiders @ Jacksonville(-3.5)
The Jaguars are playing great football right now, but the Raiders are pretty good at covering. I think this is a field goal game. I’ll take the points and Oakland.

    Buccaneers @ Washington(+1)
This is two teams that have nothing to play for and have all but given up. If there were more points than this, I’d take the Redskins, but I’m going with Tampa.

    Browns @ Buffalo, even
Delhomme played well last week. I know I’m rolling the dice here, but I’m going to take the Browns assuming Buffalo, with their 27th ranked run defense, will get bowled over by Hillis. I’ll take the Browns.

    Sunday, ~4:10
    Rams @ New Orleans(-9)
Too many points against a very solid Rams team. Take the points.

    Seahawks @ San Francisco(-5)
The Niners have no right to be favored by this much. Especially in a “must win” situation. I’ll take the Seattle and the number.

    Patriots @ Chicago(+3)
The Pats are rolling right now, and Chicago is no way as good as their record. Give the points.

    Dolphins @ New Jersey Jets(-5)
The Jets were mightily exposed last week and Henne plays like an all-pro when he plays the Jets. Also note that the Dolphins completely shut down the Browns running game last week, so that means the ball will be in Sanchez’ hands. EW! I’m taking the points and the Dolphins.

    Broncos @ Arizona(+4)
I’ve no idea what’s up with the Broncos so I’ll take the points and the Cardinals.

    Chiefs @ San Diego(-9.5)
This will be an ugly blowout. I don’t know how the Chargers lost last week, but they won’t lose this week. Give the points and take San Diego.

    Eagles @ Dallas(+4)
The Eagles are winning but they’ve been playing sloppy. I like getting over 3 points here. I’ll take them and the Cowboys.

    SNF
    Giants @ Minnesota(+3)
Breather alert for the Giants. They will be thinking about the Eagles game next week. Take the Vikings.

    MNF
    Ravens @ Houston(+3)
Another game where one team doesn’t need the game. Houston will win this one. I’ll take the points.
