NFL Week 15 Thursday pick

Niners @ Seattle(-9.5)
Wow, nine and a half? Didn’t Seattle just lose to Arizona? Isn’t Seattle’s run defense horrible, and don’t the Niners have Frank Gore? Yeah, OK, take the monstrous nine and a half, thanks. Go Niners!

First set of bowls soon, since they start next Tuesday!

  1. I dunno. Seattle needs to win this game and the Niners should be just about ready to pack it in. I’ll give the points.

Don’t forget the Saturday game! Right now Atlanta is getting 3 points at home. I’m going with Atlanta — Romo has stumbled the past couple of weeks and with Abraham healthy(ish) they should force at least one turnover. I think Atlanta will need at least 2 turnovers to win outright, but I like getting the 3 points plus any kind of home bump.

  2. Wow, how badly did Seattle fold in the second half? They were fine, and poised to take a 14-3 lead and then just sort of gave up. Especially after the long pass by Smith, who turned into Joe Montana by the fourth quarter.
Man, Seattle is soft. I’m amazed they made it to the superbowl last year.

  3. Folded like origami, they did. When the first half ended with the lead being only 4, I though I had it in the bag–the Seahawks should have led by more than that.

BTW, I do like the NFLN picture quality as I have a new 1080p TV and NFLN broadcasts in 1080, whereas ESPN HD is only in 720, and you sometimes get scaling effects. True 1080, even 1080i, really is as great as Jessica Simpson says…

  4. From what I’ve seen 720p is better than 1080i, but 1080p is probably fun. 🙂

The Falcons made a game of it, but they couldn’t nut up on defense in the fourth quarter. Annoying.
